David Palmer David A Palmer IMS Productions David A Palmer IMS Productions has a strong track record in software games and also professional music software, including Music X. Much of this work has been done in collaboration with overseas partners, especially Hollyware Entertaintment in California and Desert Software in the United Arab Emirates. Starting in 1995 David Palmer, developed an on-line interactive product for musicians, with the working title of Virtua Studio - first demonstrated in public by Herbie Hancock. This enables musicians to "jam" together in real-time using even 14.4k modems to exchange MIDI files. In the video clip, David explains the principles of how this works, and looks forward to the next phase of development, which will see a full on-line "cultural environment" for musicians - including special performances, on-line group rehearsals, and music education applications. At the time of writing, the Virtua Music Web site was little more than a simple page - but visit it now and see how it has developed. | |||||||||||||||
